Insurance Company: Friday Has Most Number of Car Accident Claims

Generally, everyday driving puts the life of every motorist at risk. However, in an initial report compiled early this year and released by an insurance company, it was revealed that Friday is the most dangerous day for motorists to hit the road.

According to a report released by the insurance industry based from its analysis of reports it had received early in this current year, car accident insurance claims for Fridays reached an average of 4,664 each day.

Meanwhile, Wednesday comes next with an average of 4,197 claims per day and then closely followed by Thursday.

Consequently, Monday and Tuesday are the safest days to drive.

Meanwhile, the associate vice president of safety at Nationwide, Bill Windsor, speculated that some motorists are probably thinking about their plans on weekends rather than focusing on driving.

Incidentally, weekend is the most awaited time of the week since it is when people usually do the things that they normally can’t do during weekdays, such as going out with friends and family or taking a short vacation.

Moreover, Windsor claimed that nearly half of the reported accidents occur during commuting hours. In fact, according to a report released by the Network of Employers for Traffic Safety (NETS), minor fender-benders and being rear-ended are the most common types of accidents that occur during peak hours.

As a primary solution to this matter, a Los Angeles accident attorney suggested that drivers should avoid tailgating or leave at least a few seconds’ driving distance between their car and the driver in front of them as precautionary measures.

Furthermore, as everyone knows, distracted driving is the most common cause of accidents. Therefore, drivers should also refrain from texting while driving and instead focus their full attention on the road.

Video Footage on Lindsay Lohan’s Alleged Hit-and-run Blurs Identities of Pedestrians

Photo gives credit to the original owner,
LA Times.
In a video footage released by the New York Police Department last Thursday, authorities failed to identify the pedestrians on the streets as Lohan’s car passed by.

The video only revealed one pedestrian going after Lohan’s car, but it was unclear as to who the person was. Also, there was a portion in the footage that showed Lohan driving up a ramp just near an alley in the Chelsea neighborhood.

The release of the said security video came upon the request of some sources familiar with the case since they believe that the same would help in Lohan’s defense over her alleged hit-and-run car accident.

Lohan was reportedly involved in another car misfortune. According to reports, she allegedly hit the knee of a pedestrian as she was about to park her car at the Dream Hotel in Manhattan, New York. In fact, she was subsequently arrested following a complaint from the pedestrian whom she allegedly struck.

According to experts, upon seeing the video footage, authorities can assess whether Lohan indeed grazed a person and if she did, it could also be determined if the impact or the contact of the collision really made it impossible for the actress to be aware of the accident since it was so minor.

Unfortunately, the video footage proved inconclusive as to whether there was indeed a hit-and-run incident that occurred.

Meanwhile, Lohan’s party is denying the allegations. Moreover, Lohan is quite confident that this matter would be cleared up in the next few weeks, according to her spokesperson.

Although the video footage didn’t go with Lohan’s luck, the troubled actress is still fortunate that it didn’t bring her into more serious predicaments, said by a personal injury lawyer in Los Angeles.

SoCal Rapper Dies in Suspected DUI Car Crash after Tweeting

A 21-year-old Southern California rapper died on Labor Day weekend from a suspected drunk driving car accident.

According to reports, SoCal rapper Erwin McKines, a.k.a. Jew’els and Inkky, was among the five men who died from the last Labor Day weekend accident along South Haven Avenue in Ontario, California.

Police believed that alcohol is a major factor to the incident. Further reports claimed that minutes before the accident happened, the SoCal rapper tweeted the ironic and figurative phrase popularized by the Canadian rapper, Drake – YOLO or “you only live once”.

In his exact word quoted below, McKines tweeted:

“Drunk af going 120 drifting corners #FuckIt YOLO”

Incidentally, initial investigation revealed that the 2005 Nissan Sentra which was driven by McKines’ rapper friend, Jonathan Watson, 22, beat a red light and crashed into on Ontario backyard.

Other passengers of the vehicle were identified by Ontario Police as Marquell Bogan, 23, JaJuan Bennett, 23, and Dylan George, 20. All of the five men were pronounced dead at scene.

Meanwhile, a Los Angeles personal injury attorney understands how hard it is to lose a family member due to a sudden glimpse of fate like in a car accident. However, he said that the family members of the decedent must learn to accept their loved one’s fate and that they should learn to recover from the incident.

Moreover, since most provisions of the law regarding car accidents involve complicated ideas and procedures, it is highly suggested for victims to consult a legal counsel to determine their legal rights and stance concerning the case.

Car Accident Has Not Slowed Down Singer Cheryl Cole in Promoting Her Album

A couple of days after the bloody car accident that happened to singer Cheryl Cole and her rapper friend Will.i.am, Cole decided to fly back from Los Angeles to UK to promote her new album called “Under the Sun” despite their doctors’ advice to take a rest.

According to reports, the two came from a studio for a long recording session last Wednesday when the incident occurred. Apparently, Will.i.am slammed his Cadillac into a parked car while his 29-year old singer friend Cole was in the front passenger seat.

The incident left them both with a bloody nose and a little shaken up. Fortunately, no one was inside the parked car which was severely damaged.

Upon the arrival of police and paramedics, Will.i.am was transported to the nearby Cedars Sinai hospital for a full check up, while Cole was said to be treated at the accident scene. Shortly thereafter, Will.i.am was seen leaving the hospital in a neck brace with blood stains on his jeans.

Through their social media musings, both assured their fans that they were doing fine following the car accident.

In an interview, Cole was asked if she thinks Will.i.am was the world’s worst driver and she replied that the guy was a bad talker to the point that he even talked about Mars and NASA.

Obviously, nothing can stop the two from savoring their hard-earned success and keeping up their spot in fame.

While fans of both music personalities are waiting for their collaboration, they provided their fans something new to keep them excited. Cole is now promoting her new album, while the Black Eyed Peas and leading producer Will.i.am’s recent hit song was played back by NASA’s Curiosity rover as part of an educational event.

Consequently, a car accident attorney in Los Angeles no longer wonders why Will.i.am seems so interested with NASA and Mars. Obviously, he played a great part in the world’s most watched exploration events.

Fiery I-680 Car Accident Leaves 2 Dead, Severely Injures 1

At least two people were killed while one casualty sustained serious injuries from a multiple car accident that caught fire along Interstate Highway 680 near San Ramon, California.

According to California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers, the three-car collision was reported at around 1:20 in the morning, along the southbound lane of Interstate Highway 680 at the Crow Canyon Road off ramp.

Witnesses said that a man in his speeding vehicle struck a BMW convertible that has two passengers inside. Due to the extreme impact of the collision, both cars subsequently hit a large forklift, which eventually struck a pick-up truck in a nearby Caltrans construction zone.

At least one of the vehicles involved leaked its gas, which caught fire shortly after the incident. Additionally, two of the three passengers that were trapped inside the car that caught fire were pronounced dead at the scene while the other one was transported to a hospital with serious injuries.

Consequently, the incident shut down four lanes of the interstate overnight due to the incident.

Further reports claimed that a few hours later, another accident happened at the same area where the first incident occurred. Fortunately, the said accident only left one person with minor injury.

Over speeding is one of the most prevalent causes of car accidents, just like what happened to this tragic accident on Interstate 680. A Los Angeles injury attorney claims that such type of traffic law violation seems unstoppable since many motorists simply ignore the continuous reminders of the federal government regarding maximum speed limits in certain thoroughfares.

In this regard, you should keep in mind that if a driver has been reckless in driving, chances of car accident-related injuries and even deaths are likewise high.

Car Accident Kills 1, Injures 6; Shuts down Interstate 15 Northbound Lanes

All northbound lanes on the Interstate 15 south of Winchester road in Temecula were closed following a fatal car accident that killed one person and injured six people.

Accordingly, reports said that a two-car accident was reported at around 10:53 on Tuesday evening. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) initially reported on August 7 that two of the people who sustained injuries are in critical condition but on the following day, the CHP declared that one of them had died.

Meanwhile, officers from the Riverside County Fire Department who responded to the accident scene said that one person was trapped in the car crash. However, it was not determined whether that person was the one with severe injuries who recently died.

Consequently, all lanes on the northbound side of the Interstate 15 near Winchester Road were reopened early Wednesday at around 12:25 in the morning, said the California Highway Patrol.

On a related note, car accidents occur in the glimpse of an eye. However, its devastating effects to one’s life usually last long. Generally, due to such accidents, many people and families are left with unacceptable fate that can change their entire lives.

Nowadays, personal injury incurred from car accidents is becoming a major tort case in the country. It is specifically provided by the federal law to compensate the rapidly growing number of helpless victims who suffer injuries, as well as the families who have lost their loved ones. Those who are liable for the incident may find themselves facing either civil or criminal suits.

In Los Angeles, auto accident attorney has mastered car accident actions and has proven himself as excellent in the long run of successful cases over the years. Being competent and dedicated, having nothing in mind but to battle for righteousness and to win is the most promising qualities that a lawyer must have in such cases of car accident litigations.
