SoCal Rapper Dies in Suspected DUI Car Crash after Tweeting

A 21-year-old Southern California rapper died on Labor Day weekend from a suspected drunk driving car accident.

According to reports, SoCal rapper Erwin McKines, a.k.a. Jew’els and Inkky, was among the five men who died from the last Labor Day weekend accident along South Haven Avenue in Ontario, California.

Police believed that alcohol is a major factor to the incident. Further reports claimed that minutes before the accident happened, the SoCal rapper tweeted the ironic and figurative phrase popularized by the Canadian rapper, Drake – YOLO or “you only live once”.

In his exact word quoted below, McKines tweeted:

“Drunk af going 120 drifting corners #FuckIt YOLO”

Incidentally, initial investigation revealed that the 2005 Nissan Sentra which was driven by McKines’ rapper friend, Jonathan Watson, 22, beat a red light and crashed into on Ontario backyard.

Other passengers of the vehicle were identified by Ontario Police as Marquell Bogan, 23, JaJuan Bennett, 23, and Dylan George, 20. All of the five men were pronounced dead at scene.

Meanwhile, a Los Angeles personal injury attorney understands how hard it is to lose a family member due to a sudden glimpse of fate like in a car accident. However, he said that the family members of the decedent must learn to accept their loved one’s fate and that they should learn to recover from the incident.

Moreover, since most provisions of the law regarding car accidents involve complicated ideas and procedures, it is highly suggested for victims to consult a legal counsel to determine their legal rights and stance concerning the case.
